We all need energy in order to get us through the day. There are those people who need it in the morning as a jump start, others around midday and even others in the evening. Regardless of the timing, we all agree that a good sustainable amount of energy is needed to get us through our daily challenges. One of the biggest reasons why I started juicing was because of the major energy increase that I saw after I had a cup of juice. That energy increase led to stronger workouts, more productivity and just feeling good. In this episode, we will look at some other major benefits of juicing

Helps keep down sugar craving

Sugar is one of the worst things we crave, especially every time we need some extra energy to pull us through the day. Juice helps keep the sugar cravings down, and still provide the energy needed for the body.   Celery is a major contributor for appetite control. I use celery in many of my juices and suggest you do as well


To fight dehydration

We all live busy lives and we end up stopping by the store, unfortunately to grab the wrong type of energy drink. When you feel dehydrated, besides just drinking water, a glass of juice is the best thing to make.  Not at home or on the run, pick-up some coconut juice. Doctors recommend it for re-hydrating the body and studies have shown coconut may boost brain health. Try it the next time you need some energy to help pull you through the day without getting dehydrated.

To elevate your mood and sleep better

I’ve already spoken about the intense energy high you get with juicing. Along with the energy boost you’ll also benefit from elevated mood. An elevated mood gives way to a great energetic, productive working day and sound sleep at the end.

To boost your immune system

We all agree it doesn’t feel good to be sick. There are juices that help in boosting our immune systems and building our energy levels. A good example of this is citric fruit juices which taken at the beginning of the day helps keep free radicals away, and hence a healthy body.  Lemons, oranges and limes provide us enough vitamin c for the day and viruses like the common cold or flu are kept at bay.
