You Are Enough: Believe It

We live in a world that constantly tells us we aren’t good enough. Think about it. Every day, someone is telling you that you have to be better…

Better at your job.

Better as a spouse.

Better looking.

Smarter.

Funnier.

More mature.

Every moment, you are bombarded with the idea that you simply aren’t enough. As a result, you feel really bad about yourself. You think that you have to change to suit others. You think you are inadequate. This is no way to live life. When you constantly think you are not good enough, you will find it very difficult to be happy with yourself. Let’s talk about how you can genuinely believe you are enough.

You Don’t Have to Please Everyone

The first thing you need to remember is that not everyone will accept you. There is always going to be someone who, for one reason or another, will attempt to bring you down or tell you that you need to change and improve. The problem comes in when you believe them.

If you constantly try to be enough for everyone, you are going to fail and you will end up feeling worse about yourself.  It is time to accept right now that you don’t have to please everyone, and no matter what others may say or think about you, you actually are enough just the way you are.

Know You Can Fail

You may think that to be enough, you have to be perfect. That is absolutely unrealistic. No one is perfect and never will be. Why?  Because life is tough and you will fail.  It will get you upset and you may even fail again.  If you don’t have a thick skin and can’t deal with failure it can make your life difficult and even worse depressed.  You’ve got to have bounce back ability.

Failinsuccess

The bottom line is this: Failure is just a part of life.  That doesn’t mean you can’t accomplish what you want.  It just makes you human. The sooner you accept this, the better.  There is something else you need to remember. Failure is the gateway to success. When you learn from mistakes, you know what not to do in the future, and this allows you to be successful.  Instead of looking at failure as a bad thing, recognize it for the positive thing it is.

Quit Comparing Yourself to People

You probably look around at people and compare yourself to them constantly. This person is more attractive than you. That person is smarter than you. That other person does better at their job than you. It’s a never ending cycle of never feeling like you are enough.

STOP-COMPARING-YOURSELF

Here’s the thing you have to remember, though. You don’t know everything about those people. You only know what they let others see.

You don’t know what problems they deal with and what insecurities they face.  We all have our issues, some more than others, but it’s how you deal with them that matters.  You also don’t know how long they’ve been “paying the price” for the success that they do have.  If you want their success, do what they do, learn from them and if you work hard maybe you can be just like them.

It is time that you truly believe you are enough because you are! While working to better yourself is fine, don’t ever think you have to change to be enough for other people.

Use the information you have read here and learn how to accept yourself. If you don’t like something then take charge of your life and change it, but make sure you’re doing it for you.
