Juice Cleanes

By on March 27, 2014

There are a number of ways of losing weight swiftly and quickly. Juice cleanses are one of those ways. In essence, the person who wishes to lose weight limits her diet to fruit and vegetable juices for as long as a few days to a few weeks. The idea is to obtain all of the nutrients through the juices or vitamin supplements the lack of caloric intake and water loss will allow the dieter to quickly and safely lose weight. This is a perfectly fine diet as long as certain caveats are followed.

The first, and the one that applies to all diets, is to consult with a doctor. Certain medical conditions preclude a juice cleanses diet. An obvious one is diabetes diabetics tend to suffer under a juice diet of any kind due to the high sugar content of most juices. There are other issues that may come up, especially if the person has any number of these conditions. The bottom line is that while this diet may have its strong points it is not one of the best diets for everyone.

Another issue to keep in mind is that there has to be a number of changes made in order to keep the weight off once it has been lost. The dieter must adapt her lifestyle in order to keep the weight off permanently, and this can mean some drastic changes, such as increasing exercise and learning better food habits. Ultimately the juice cleanser diet is short term at best and if those changes are not made the dieter will keep coming back to this diet instead of keeping the weight off permanently.

In short the juice cleanses diet is a good diet for short term weight, but is only meant for the short term. A dieter can have a lot of fun with this diet given the wide variety of fruits and vegetables available. Remember to make the changes necessary for weight maintenance and the juice cleanses will work for you.
